Friday 18 April Update

ECB Clubmark Club and KCB Focus Club

Whitstable Cricket Club junior section starts pre-training for Under 11s and Under 13s on Tuesday evenings from 15th April 6.00pm-8.00pm and for Under 15s on Thursday evenings 6.00pm-8.00pm.

Whitstable cricket club currently have six junior sides, two for each age group and play in the 'Pharon' Canterbury District League. All coaches are qualified ECB or UKCC cricket coaches and have recognised child protection and First Aid certificates.

The very popular Saturday morning 'Kwik Cricket' starts on 3rd May 9.30am-11.00am and are open to Primary School boys and girls from year 1 to year 6 to come and enjoy learning and playing cricket with lots of Fun!

Whitstable Cricket Club supply all the equipment needed to play for both junior and kwik cricket. Children will get the opportunity throughout the summer to take part in the ECB Kwik Cricket Awards where they can achieve Gold, Silver or Bronze awards depending on their skills achieved.

There is no registration fee for kwik cricket and the club only charges £1 per sessions which includes a drink. Parents are more than welcome to stay and enjoy watching their children play.

Whitstable Cricket Club is one of only a few cricket clubs in Kent to achieve Clubmark status and to be accredited a Focus club by the Kent Cricket Board.

Weather permitting we are starting outdoor training this Tuesday 15th April for the under 11s and under 13s and Thursday 17th for the under 15s. However please check your e-mails nearer the time as the weather is not great as we all know!!!!

5.45pm to sign in for those who have already become and paid there membership, if this is still outstanding there will be forms and people to help complete this with you on the night, please see Claire, Liz, Anne and Ann on arrival (parents there is information required from you on the form)

Membership and fixture cards have been sent out in the post to those of you already paid.

Hi Everyone

I have been asked by several people for dates that are booked over the summer (ie cricket week etc) please see below what I have in place at the moment.

Tuesday afternoons 4.00pm to 5.30pm starting 18th March for 5 week trial we have tabletop cricket afternoon club at the clubhouse for children with disabilities and open to all our own colts section who would like to attend. Parents are welcome to stay and join in or just watch and have a coffee or tea.

Sunday 13th April : Kent Under 13s girls V Hertfordshire Under 13s girls at Whitstable CC 1.00pm

Tuesday 15th April : Under 11 and Under 13 Whitstable CC outdoor training starts

Thursday 17th April : Under 15 Whitstable CC outdoor training starts

Sunday 20th April : Whitstable CC 3rd XI Squad day at Whitstable CC 1.00pm

Sunday 27th April : Whitstable 3rd XI V Beltinge CC (friendly)

Saturday 3rd May : Kwik Cricket starts at Whitstable CC for 6-11 year olds. 9.30am to 11.00am

Sunday 4th May : Whitstable Select X1 V Lille CC (France) in a International friendly match. 1.00pm

Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th May : Half Term Cricket Camp 10.00am to 3.00pm for 10-13 year olds. Booking are required as spaces will be limited. £25.00 for both days or £15.00 per day to include gifts for children.
