DIARY DATE On Saturday 1st May there is a social evening at the club where the trophies for last years senior teams along with the Under 13s Indoor Cup and League presentation will be given out to the players involved. The 3rd XI are at home to East Langdon with the 1st & 2nd team away to Canterbury. The new Chairman Rob Scales is to make a speech welcoming everyone to the new season along with the the Club Captains of the Cricket Club. There will be food available during the evening. This event is open to all members senior and junior members and guests.

ECB Clubmark Club and KCB Focus Club Whitstable Cricket Club junior section training for Under 11s and Under 13s is on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm-8.00pm and for Under 15s on Thursday evenings 6.00pm-8.00pm. Whitstable Cricket Club currently has six junior sides, two for each age group and play in the 'Pharon' Canterbury District League. All coaches are qualified ECB or UKCC cricket coaches and have recognised Child Protection and First Aid certificates. The very popular Saturday morning 'Kwik Cricket' runs from 9.30am-11.00am and is open to Primary School boys and girls from year 1 to year 6 to come and enjoy learning and playing cricket with lots of Fun! The Club supplies all the equipment needed to play for both junior and kwik cricket. Children will get the opportunity throughout the summer to take part in the ECB Kwik Cricket Awards where they can achieve Gold, Silver or Bronze awards depending on their skills achieved. There is no registration fee for kwik cricket and the club only charges £1 per sessions which includes a drink. Parents are more than welcome to stay and enjoy watching their children play. Whitstable Cricket Club is one of only a few cricket clubs in Kent to achieve Clubmark status and to be accredited a Focus club by the Kent Cricket Board. |
